How many came?
Move from visitor counts to trends, patterns and comparisons.
People counting tells you how many people visit. Footfall Analytics lets you track change over time, compare periods and locations, and see where visitor traffic is changing.
A visitor count tells you how many people came. Compare traffic over time, between periods and across locations to see how it is changing — and which changes deserve attention.
How many came?
Figures shown are illustrative.
Break visitor counts down over time and across locations. This makes it easier to see busy periods, differences between locations and changes from one period to another.
View visitor traffic by hour, day, week, month or year to understand the direction of travel and spot when established patterns begin to change.
See when traffic builds, when it peaks and when it falls again. This provides an actual traffic pattern for operational and staffing planning.
Compare stores, buildings, entrances or other locations on the same basis to see which follow the pattern — and which stand out.
Compare with the previous week, month, year or another relevant period to see the size of the change — not simply that it happened.
Figures shown are illustrative.
Operations, marketing, location teams and leadership ask different questions. Footfall Analytics gives them a shared data foundation for planning, tracking change and knowing where to look more closely.
Use hourly, daily and seasonal patterns to see when traffic builds and falls. This provides a stronger basis for planning staffing, opening hours and other operational resources.
Compare traffic before, during and after a campaign or activity. This shows whether the period coincided with a change in visitor traffic — without assuming the campaign alone caused it.
Track one location over time and compare it with relevant previous periods. This makes it easier to spot change early and know when something deserves closer investigation.
Compare locations on the same data foundation to see differences in traffic levels, trends and seasonal patterns. Use those differences to prioritise which locations need follow-up.
Bring trends across locations into one consistent view. This gives leadership a shared picture of direction, seasonal patterns and where the biggest differences are.
When locations are analysed on the same data foundation, you can see which follow the overall trend — and which are moving differently. That makes it easier to prioritise where to look more closely.
Comparison is not about picking a winner. It is about seeing which differences need to be understood.
Visitor traffic across locations
Visitor traffic at Location D is down 9.3% versus the previous period and is moving differently from the portfolio overall.
Figures shown are illustrative.
An increase, decline or stable trend is a signal. Footfall Analytics shows where and when change happens. From there, you can decide which questions deserve further investigation — and what context is missing.
Fewer people are arriving at the location. The analysis shows when the decline began, how large it is and whether the same pattern appears elsewhere. The next question is what might be behind it.
Visitor traffic has barely changed. If other results are moving, the traffic data tells you something important: the explanation is likely elsewhere.
More people are arriving at the location. The analysis shows the growth, but not on its own what is driving it or what value it creates. That requires more context.
Visitor Intelligence adds more data layers around visitor counts. Passerby traffic, capture rate, dwell time, age and gender, and commercial data can provide more context when traffic trends alone do not explain the picture.
